Internet Businesses - How Many Can You Manage

This is a big question. How many internet businesses it is possible to handle? Not only to handle, but to run successfully? I have no straight answer, but I try to give some ideas to you, if you are pondering this same problem.

1. Concentration or Diversification?

I have always told, that to run internet businesses is not so much up to the time or budget, but ideas. If you work smart, you can get better results than the one, who cannot do so. The problem is, that in advance it is not possible to know, what is smart. We just have to test it.

It also seems, that in the Internet the content is very important, I mean that even an unknown marketer can do good results. If this is true, then it is really possible to run several internet businesses, if you can find out means to build the traffic.

It also depends on how you are going to monetize the internet businesses. If the monetization happens with AdSense ads, which are free for the clickers, then the brand has not so much weight, but if you will sell something expensive and complicated, which also needs support, then the brand is important, and the trust.

2. The Brand Building.

The brand building should follow the guidelines of the business strategy. The brand should always be in the service of the business, i.e. if a strong and clear brand is needed, you must build one, but if you are not in the branded goods business, then you should concentrate on the business process.

3. Why You Are Marketing Online?

If the target is to use the expertise, which you have obtained offline, then you should focus on that business segment. But if you are specialized into the internet marketing, then you could expand your internet businesses into many areas.

4. Can You Be An Expert In Many Fields?

It is possible, but is it realistic? Good questions. However, as we discussed above, it depends on your expertise. If we take an example from the sports, there are sportsmen, like triathlonists, who have several sports. But if you compare their results with the results of the special sportsmen, they will lose.

5. Is Your Route The Same In Separate Businesses?

I mean, should you start as a newbie and improve your skills little by little, or should you utilize the skills over the borders, transfer them from one area into another one? Of course you can, so the first internet business is always the heaviest to start, but when you go further on your learning curve, it becomes easier to adopt new things.
