Internet Business - The Tough And Easier Market Niches

I would have supposed, that I had learnt certain sure rules, how to pick the market sector and certain keywords to get my internet business site every time on the first page at Google. But have I been able to do this? Not every time but the most surprises I have met with the sector choice.

1. The Ranking Ability Does Not Depend On The Keywords Only.

This I know from my own experience. I started online with a typical internet business affiliate program, which succeeded, and still does, very well. Then I read about niche marketing and about a chance to launch several niche sites with the same template.

I found out quickly, that the mortgage related new niche was extremely tough to rank high. I had a long experience with the search engine marketing and I had reached several top rankings with highly competed keywords. But this did not work. Actually even today I do not know for sure, what was the reason.

2. The Usage Of Link Building Services.

I was after a quick rankings and decided to use certain link building services, which offered a chance to submit my new site url into high ranking pages, which were not related. Maybe this was an error and Google punished my site. But I am not sure.

3. Too Many Links Too Quickly.

With my internet business site I used the article marketing only in order to get a high search engine ranking. With this new site I used a reciprocal link building software and the link building service together with the article marketing. Maybe I built too many links too quickly, because the rankings have not improved or then the mortgage related market is just much tougher than the internet home business one.

4. The Market Can Be Temporarily Down.

I knew that the mortgage market in US was down, because of the financial crisis. So this is more or less a bad explanation, because the number of searches per keyword was healthy. People were searching for information but I could not reach high rankings with my site.

5. How To Make The Ranking To Increase?

First, I will not quit. I will try as long as I will succeed. By this day I have written several keyword optimized articles and the most traffic comes from the article directories, not from the search engine rankings. So I decided to optimize my articles with even smaller demand keywords to be able to rank better.

This is a very healthy case and presents, that the markets are very different as their behaviours. However, if someone has succeeded in the mortgage market, so will I!
