By:

If you have a passion for circus, or if you are professionals in this field, you cannot miss this event. It is an important happening, which was first held in 1977 and which attracts every year a number of visitors, not only thanks to the amazing shows that it features, but also because this festival can offer a view on the circus of the future, introducing the worlds most up-and-coming artists and as presenting the most innovative performances. For these reasons with the passing of time the Festival has become more and more important, and the people interest aroused by the event in the first editions is not decreasing at all. Furthermore this years edition is even more awaited than it usually is, because it will mark the 30 years anniversary from the birth of the event. A book will celebrate this important event: it will be rich in information and oddities about the event, and it will be a useful tool for anyone who wish to discover something more about the history, the winners and the performances that have characterised the event in time, as well as about the reasons why the founders of the Festival decided to give birth to such an event.

The Circus Festival of Tomorrow was created by Dominique and Isabelle Mauclair, who wanted to improve the fortune of French circus in a particularly difficult moment. To do so, they gave many young people the possibility to perform in front of a jury, and at the same time they permitted many professionals to discover new talents. This Festival is particularly important and different from others also because it has always had an international nature, and it has never been geographically or stylistically limited. This is the great merit of the Festival: in the era of globalisation and of contaminations, it can be considered as a meeting point for people who want to meet and broaden their own culture and ideas about this form of art learning something from the techniques and the performances of artists coming from all over the world. During the Festival the most important artists of the Moscow Circus, of the Beijing Circus, of the Knie Circus (in Switzerland), and of the cole Fratellini meet in Paris. However, apart from these important circus, the Festival hosts also other talented artists coming from areas that are not well-known for having an important circus tradition. The event, indeed, is intended to involve people coming from all around the world. Also for this international feature the Paris Festival is considered as a very important meeting point for circus professionals, artists, agents and producers, as a springboard for those who wish to take up a career in this field, and as an unmatchable show for all circus lovers.

Paris is a multiethnic metropolis rich in art, and for this reason it is the ideal city to host the International Circus Festival of Tomorrow, an artistic and international event. Staying in a cheap hotel in Paris you will have the possibility to enjoy both this show and the magic atmosphere of the city.
