Interior Design Taking Care Of The Bathroom

Nowadays, we use the bathroom for several purposes. Except for personal hygiene a lot of people use the bathroom early in the morning for successful start of the work day or to get rid of the stress after their work is over. Those purposes make the bathroom very important place and important places need good maintenance. After every season you start to notice that the tiles are losing their color and the fillings between them are not that white as they originally were. Well everything grows old your ledges and windows too.

As interior, there are a couple of possibilities. You may choose between standard detail and luxury equipment at your local hardware shop. The choice is yours but it requires big budget and time to rebuild entirely your bathroom. Of course, there is another a lot cheaper way to refresh your current bathroom. Its a temporary solution that will bring back the life in your bathroom for a year or maybe two.

Before you start, remove all trims, mirrors, stands and so on. Afterwards you need to clean all surfaces. For that, use your regular cleaning preparation. It is good to do that more often to take good care of your bathroom.

Now starts the hard part. All roughness needs to be smooth and to do that on the dry tiles using a pallet cover thin layer of suspensor primer. After that you can decide what you want to do with them. The first option is waterproof paint. That way you can change entirely the color of your bathroom but if the old color of your tiles was dark you may need to do this step two or three times to receive the color you want. A good combination is two contrast colors at each side of the room for large bathrooms, which has a toilet in the corner and a bath on the other side of the bathroom. The second option is to keep your old color of the piles and cover them with varnish. If you use varnish from artificial resin you will strengthen the color and get wonderful shine on your old ledge but if your color is light at strong day light your new color may become a little yellow. To avoid that just use acrylic varnish. It dries faster and doesnt have such suffocating smell.

Now its time to clean the dirty fillings. To do so you need to remove the old silicon between the piles. Do that by cutting it at the base of the pile and carefully pull it out. Afterwards clean the filling with appropriate preparation for silicon because usually after removing it small remains are left in the gaps. When its clean enough inject new silicon between the piles but use scotch tape at both ends. Then smoothen the silicon with finger or sponge and leave it to dry out.

Windows need the very same procedure. You need to start at the beginning and follow step by step but if you choose to paint them lay a thinner layer.
