Intel Out To Take Back Marketshare From Pc Tablet With The Ultrabook

Until now, ultraportable devices from PC makers have not sold well because of high prices

and chips that did not deliver enough performance , Intel Executive Vice President, Sean Maloney said.

While Intel is also developing new chips for tablet computers, the company has struggled to translate its PC dominance into success in the PC Tablet sector but due to the major reason that most mobile internet device now runs on mobile-phone chips ,rather than Intel processors, licensed by Britain s ARM holdings which are more energy efficient .

The flagging sales for netbooks and laptop has also affected other major players . The world's top PC seller Hewlett-Packard has its PC sales decreased twenty over percent last quarter while Dell Inc., HP's main rival, saw sales to consumers slump 7.5 percent, acknowledging that sales fell partly due to competition with the iPad and other tablets.

The record sales of the iPads have affected other firms that rely on PC sales. microsoft Windows, also plans to release a version of Windows optimized for touch-screen tablets next year to seek a better balance with PC tablet user.

Intel commented that these New Breed of computers will marry the performance and capabilities of today's laptops with tablet-like features and deliver a highly responsive and secure experience, in a thin, light and elegant design.

Ultrabooks will be thinner and lighter ,have Touchscreens and longest battery life on standby,Come with the ability to be switched on within seconds with similar features found in PC tablets .

Among the Ultrabooks to made available during the holiday season this year will be the Asus UX21, ASUS Ultrabook and will cost less than USD 1,000-00

ASUS said the "astonishingly thin" ultraportables are made possible through the use of a strong but light aluminum alloy high polished shell .
