Garage sales are a great way to earn a bit of extra cash as well as a great way to get rid of a lot of stuff in your house that you simply dont need anymore. During the summer months, especially those when you have a long weekend, having a garage sale can be a productive way to spend the weekend. Often times, people put off holding a garage sale, daunted by the task of organizing the whole thing. Planning

The first step toward a successful garage sale is planning. Avoid stress and an unproductive garage sale with some pre-sale planning. Plans and preparation for the sale can be made easier with your Brother printer and inkjet cartridges. Start by choosing a date. Set the date for your garage sale a few weeks in advance so you won't be rushed. Some people have found that a bigger garage sale is a more successful one, so consider inviting some friends to participate as well.

Once youve figured out when youre having your sale, use your printer and Brother ink to print out an ad to send in to your local paper. The cost of advertising your sale will be recovered with the additional customers it will bring. Make sure you include the big ticket items that youre selling and that you specify your location as well as the dates and times that you will be open for business.

Setting Up

Now you're ready to begin the final preparations. Cull through your things and whenever you have something that youre unsure if you should sell or not ask yourself when the last time you used it was. Add a final touch by printing a welcome sign with your Brother ink and place it in your front yard. Following this plan should allow you to create a very successful sale!
