To obtain the very best results, make a trip to your local rental store and rent a laser level for the day. In all honesty, this is going to give you the most accurate level line possible.

Once you get the level set up, you can then transfer the laser mark on the walls at the corners of the kitchen and go from there. This is when you can go around the corners of the walls and mark the level line locations.

After this step is complete, you will need to use a chalk line to snap between the marks. There is one thing that you should be sure that you do in the next step. Make sure that the chalk line is not sagging in the middle by pulling it as tight as possible. This will keep the line from sagging in the center of the wall. Double check the lines by using the laser level again, making sure that the lines match up with each other.

Now, you can get the same results by using a four foot level if you cannot obtain or rent a laser level. But, you will need to be extra careful here and pay close attention to detail to ensure that the lines that you draw are accurate.

Start drawing the level lines around the walls after you have found the high spot of the floor. If at all possible, have someone else help you with holding the other end of the level while you level it up and draw the level lines along the walls.

Now, you will need to flip the level end for end and start back towards the beginning of the line that you have drawn. If your four foot level is not accurate, this is where you will be able to tell. If the lines are matching up, then you can be assured that the level is accurate. If the lines do not match up, then you will need to purchase a new one to get the job done correctly.

This is the reason why I highly suggest that you rent a laser levl to install your kitchen. The lines will be perfectly level by utilizing a laser level, and this is the reason that I highly suggest that you use one. Just remember that this step is like the foundation of a house. This is where your installation starts and it should be perfect.
