Install A Kitchen Exhaust Vent

You have set up your kitchen, move the stove from their original location and now need to install a new exhaust vent about it. This function is relatively simple to perform and can usually be completed in a number of hours. This article will list the tools you'll need to perform the work with a list of the steps required. When climbing in attics, and we recommend that you wear a pair of aprons to keep from getting the insulation in your clothes and pores. This article will assume the use of a completely new exhaust vent.

Tools required

* Peace
* Normal flat screwdriver
* Phillips screwdriver
* Power screwdriver or cordless drill with the tip of the screw (optional but recommended)
* Flashlight
* Circular Saw (optional, but easier than the regular saw)
* Utility knife

Required Materials

* New exhaust vent assembly
* Surface Mount Box 4-inch square electrical cover
* Romex 02/12 Enough to gain access to the original location of the vent to the new site
* Exhaust vent pipe connector of the appropriate size
* Vent tape. This tape is a glossy high-strength
* Connectors Wire / wire nuts
* One pot and 20 mA / port

Installation

Step 1

Locate holes to vent the fan and pipe and the road through the cabinets and the ceiling and mark holes on the cut. Circular Saw is the easiest to move. Cut holes for the fan and vent hose. Should not be opening round altogether. Opening of the fan is likely to need to be square or rectangular.

Step 2

The Mount is a new electrical box inside the cabinet where the vent fan. Make the holes needed to pass electrical wires / through romex. Enter the electric cable in the box again. Make connections to the pot. White wire goes to the station silver. Copper wire from the yellow to black or black station. Green or bare copper wire to the lug screw green.

Step 3

Mountain in the pot to the new box and install cover the pot. Romex path through the holes made by the just, and pay up to the ceiling.

Step 4

Go to where the sunroof of access. Re-wire ties, flashlight, tape and vent hose and a screwdriver. Go to where the fan is new and the path of hose on the wall where the exhaust exits the old vent hose through the wall. Remove the old hose from the right wall and attach the hose using a new tape vent hose. Path box, electrical romex to provide the old exhaust vent.
