Indian Ups System Market Is Changing At A Rapid Pace

By:

The Indian UPS market is rapidly progressing and this is due to the huge demand of energy efficient UPS in the industrial sector. To produce better UPS system most of the manufacturers are now focusing on their R&D to improvise the software, components and design that will increase the efficiency and minimize the energy loss. According to a report it has been viewed that in 2010 the UPS market grew by 11% in case of revenue which was 5% more than 2008-2009 and in case of volume it has increased by 20% compared to the last year.
There are different types of UPS systems that protect against power problems:
Standby UPS System- It provides the battery power and keeps your PC running in times of blackout or overvoltage. It gives you the opportunity to safely shut down your system and save all the required data.
Line-Interactive UPS System- It allows your equipment to work during low voltage. It follows a different design module which enables to have faster response compared to a Standby UPS System.
Online UPS System- It offers you the highest level of battery backup. Firstly, the power is broken down and then reconstructed by the inverter. It quite easily adjusts the high and low voltages and eliminates line noise delivering perfect sine wave power.
Online UPS system is often referred to as double conversion system as it firstly converts the AC input voltage to stabilized DC and again it gets converted to AC. In India it is being accounted that online UPS has contributed 89% on the total revenue whereas Interactive UPS has contributed only 11% in 2010. It provides reliable services as the output is not dependant on the input from the main supply and so it enables to provide constant output. One of the advantages of online UPS is that when it is being transferred from the main supply to battery no break takes place.
UPS systems prices vary widely depending on the distributors and the retailers. Prices of UPS starts from Rs 1,900/- and ranges to Rs17,000/- depending on its quality and efficiency of UPS that is being offered. Online UPS is considered to be the most effective but still they are being offered at a very low price. The UPS market will witness a CAGR of 13.4% by 2014 because of its demand in the market. There is a wider scope for the UPS manufacturer as the market is expanding and there is tremendous opportunity in various sectors.
