The fourth of July is another day we Americans can't just wait. The day we celebrate our Independence Day from the Kingdom of Great Britain on July 4, 1776. We can't wait to greet our fellow Americans, Happy 4th of July and celebrate the day with parades, fireworks, parties and so on.

Traditionally, Independence Day is commonly associated with parades, barbecues, fireworks, carnivals, fairs, picnics, concerts, baseball games, political ceremonies, public speeches and private gatherings. Today, most Americans continue to honor the tradition and celebrate the honors of our Declaration of Independence. But would it be nice to bring the zest back into the celebration of our country's independence?

Listed below are great tips and list of homemade gift ideas to commemorate the birth of freedom of the United States of America.

Wear a patriotic homemade shirt showing the flag of America, the Stars and Stripes design. You may design your own shirt using paint or use emulsion paints for a better look. If you do not have much time, there are a lot of stores that offer printed shirts. You may create one for yourself and give some to your friends and family.

While wearing your personalized patriotic shirt, visit historic places and monuments. Especially places that creates an ambiance of freedom and historical pasts. Honor monuments of great Americans who fought, die and lived with an honor of doing something great for our country.

If cooking and baking is your expertise, why not create freedom treats for everyone. Create Stars and Stripes cookies, candies with the American flag, design cakes following Uncle Sam's hat or portrait and thousand other designs. Ask your friends and family to celebrate the day of independence in your backyard and grill some hamburgers, pork, steaks, American hotdogs, marshmallows, waves flags, sing patriotic song and fire up some sparkles.

Create homemade medals, certificates or stone monuments and ward people who you thought made an impact to improve the lives of Americans. Fashion a short speech with what they did and give them the title "Great American". I highly suggest this if you have friends or if someone in the family is on Navy or if there is a war veteran. Trophies can be given to public servant or someone who took the name of America in greatness.

Fireworks are also part of the Independence Day celebration. If you're good at it, create a pyromusical fireworks display for the whole community to see. Use great patriotic songs as the background music. Of if you are not too good at it, buy sparklers and enjoy lighting them with friends and family. You may also create battery operated sparkless sparkles with star design for the kids.

Create wigs or costumes from the revolutionary period and have a costume party. Create a play and entertain everyone. Play music and serve people with drinks and food popular at that time.

This day we don't just celebrate our Independence but we also celebrate the lives of people who died fighting for what we are experiencing now. They fought with fervor and honor. So, we must enjoy the freedom they had given and celebrate this Fourth of July with a blast.
