If you are planning to reward your Employees / Dealers ..And send them on a travel junket to exotic destinations worldwide, and spend chunks of money which will burn a hole in your pocketsyou need to tread with caution and ensure that the money is well spent and at the end of the tour it should not be counter productive Dis.Incentiveinstead of actually rewarding them for their respective achievementswhether its a sales target met, best performance etc.

I would like to share few pointers (in random order)to ensure thatand that your trip is almost hassle free .and enjoyable.

Ensure that your Tour costs includes everything (no hidden costs) all the aspects like Airport Tax, Visa Fees, Departure Tax, number of meals should be taken into consideration . Devil is in the details and there are no free lunchespun intended. (Old adage nothing is free in life.. except love and fresh air).

Also ensure that the passports of the guys & gals traveling are Valid for 6 months at-least., its almost a thumb rule otherwise the Visa will not be issued. (Do not blame the poor Agent for this slip-up)

Have the Mobile numbers and E-mail Ids of everyone traveling and their Emergency numbers handy (God forbid) and this will ensure smoother communication. In case of flight delaysetc

Do not encourage last minute changes unless its an emergency... Otherwise this will mess up a lot of arrangements and especially in peak season when Airline seats are difficult to come by.

Inform the Travelers not to use their India Mobile overseas and instead carry their handsets and buy a local Simas this will save a lot of heartache and stress when they check their Mobile bills later on.

Ensure that your meal requests are taken care ofyou do not want a Jain landing up with a Chicken platter. (Has serious repercussions)...

Before departure check whether flights are on time .one can trigger an sms alert if the flights are delayed (advantage of having the Cell Numbers handy)the folks will love you for this.

On arrival if its a tropical place like Bangkok, Singapore etclet them get wet towels. During check-in at the hotel ( doesnt cost at allbut makes a world of difference.
