Ideas For Adult Party Games & Activities

By:

Planned ideas make a party with adult party games & activities fun. One idea is a "Murder Mystery party". It will take some well organized planning but it is well worth it and your guests will remember the party for years. Murder Mystery parties are unique and they get all the shy guests involved. The first thing to do is decide how many guests you will invite. Tell them in the invite what kind of party you are planning and give them a RSVP date.

Atfer everyone has RSVP'd, start deciding what type of mystery you want to try. Each mystery must have a back story that explains who the victim is and explains you something about each of the characters in the story. Each guest must be given a different character ahead of time. Starting about two weeks before the party, start distributing the guests emails or notes with party notes. Include information for the guests like who their character is, who the victim is, what the relationship between the victim and their character is and any other important facts or pre-games clues. Everyone will start getting thrilled about their character and the event. Describe the characters and ask the guests to come in costume like their assigned character.

The day of the party make sure you place any clues in their proper places for the guests to find. Be ready to get the conversation going and move it along by asking the guests questions over dinner or cocktails which will give all the facts they need to guess who the murderer is. Be sure to have fun party favors for everyone and a special reward for the guest who is the first to discover the murderer. One nice touch would be to set up a video camera can record the party game then later make copies and send each guest a DVD of the party as a memento along with some photos.

A no fail adult party game that is easily explained to those who may have never played is Charades. Prior to the party gather some supplies: paper, pens or pencils and plenty of ideas. Pick the titles of well known, movies, TV shows, books and actions or phrases. Write them down. Divide the guests into teams and start by letting the first player pick a slip of paper with a title on it out of a box or bowl. The person who picks the title must act it out without talking, while their team tries to guess what they are acting out. Have plenty of snacks and party favors ready for everyone and have a great time.
