I Love Touring Italy - Finding Hotels In Sorrento

By:

Sorrento was once the kind of little resort city frequented by princes and aristocrats. It's easily accessible from Naples (just across the bay) and is close to the ruins of Pompeii. One of its major attraction is the Museo Correale di Terranova with a great collection of Sixteenth, Seventeen, and Eighteenth Century paintings, furniture, and decorative objects. The Museo's grounds are beautiful as is the view. You'll also enjoy the Museo Bottege della Tarsialignea (Inlaid Woodwork Museum), Il Museo Mineralogico Campano (Mineralogical Museum) with minerals from Mount Vesuvius, and a dinosaur collection includes those cute dinosaur babies and eggs. Don't miss the Sorrento historic city center with some remains of protective walls from the Middle Ages and classic churches. For your convenience neighborhood hotels are listed in approximate order of cost, starting with the least expensive. We have personally verified all hotel websites to make sure that they include English-language pages.
