I Don't Have Time To Workout...or Do You? The 10 Minute Workout.

By:

Okay we're all busy people. I work a full time job, take martial arts classes, have to spend time with friends and family, have to hang out with the lady, and have my own personal hobbies (trying to learning guitar and French). I still make it a priority to workout however at least 2 times out the week. I try for 3 but sometimes I fail...I know, I know but I'm getting better.

Lets face it, sometimes you get busy. Life is fast and your day goes by and you miss your workout. What do you do? The 10 minute workout.

Now this is actually a really basic routine, only requires you and a dumbbell but its a start...and only recommended if your in a bind for time. You'll feel better afterwards because it'll be an intense 10 minutes and something will be done.

First I'd recommended doing about 20 jumping jacks and 20 knee raises to get the blood pumping.

Warm up

1. 20 jumping jacks
2. 20 knee raises

Routine - rest 30 seconds between each

3. push ups ( as many as you can do as fast as you can do them)

4.bicep curl - set of 8

5. crunches (as many as you can do, as fast as you can do them)

6. no weight squats - making sure you push your butt out and don't allow your knees to go over the tip of you foot. Keep your back straight as possible without being uncomfortable. You can raise your hands over your head or make pretend your holding a barbell.

7. pull ups (as many as you can do, as fast as you can do them)

Now if you don't have a pull up bar you can get one from Amazon. A good one to pick up is called "The Iron Gym". A friend of mine has one and he really likes it, doesn't damage the door at all and supports his weight. Use common sense though,if you got an old doorway maybe you shouldn't use it.

Because of the short rest period and the speed you'll probably be tired but should be finished fairly quick. Only one set of each. If you do more sets this would probably be a fairly decent starter base workout routine.

The 10 minute workout might be a little more or a little less depending on if you have a pull up bar or dumbbells. Whatever equipment you don't have you can skip the exercise associated with it.

Hope this helps guys.
