I Am Very Overweight And Need Help

Do you need to lose weight? Well heres some direct guidance, in 2 parts, that will help you.
First of all, let me just set out what it takes to lose weight.
In its simplest form, losing weight is expending more energy that you take in. In other words, burn more calories than you consume and store and you will be on the right track.
Now that is a simple assessment of the problem of being overweight, of course it can become more complex for each individual due to many factors, but essentially the basics are the same.
So, here we go.

YOUVE GOT TO EAT HEALTHY!

Everywhere you turn there are convenience restaurants (Im not talking fine-dining here), and take-away dinners. The supermarkets have more space dedicated to processed food and fat and sugary foods THAT ARE ADDICTIVE than the space allocated to anything remotely fresh or healthy.

We are in a FAT epidemic and our younger generations are now making history for the wrong reason and that is some of them will have a shorter life span than their parents due to being overweight and the diseases associated with being fat. Diseases such as hypertension, diabetes and heart disease are amongst the better known obesity induced conditions, but there are plenty more to go round...
So, we have simply GOT TO EAT RIGHT if we want to swerve this horror that is lurking ahead of us.

Its fair to say that for most people, changing years or decades of habits might not happen overnight, what is important is that you recognise the problem and START doing something about it.

Rid yourself of the processed foods and limit your visits to the fast-food restaurants until you can banish them altogether.

Swap your unhealthy foods for healthy foods, all at once if you can, but gradually if you think a major swing would be too much. However, dont let yourself off the hook by being so gradual that you never actually make the change. YOU MUST MAKE THE CHANGE ITS YOUR LIFE!

Wherever possible, substitute garbage food for fresh fruit & vegetables, fresh fish, poultry, lean meats, seeds, raw nuts and beans. Take the time to learn about these foods and make them into delicious meals and snacks.
The main point about changing your eating habits is gradually make the changes until the old foods that are dangerous, make us FAT and commit us to a life of pain and resentment are a thing of the past.

Next, after discussing eating healthy, is activity.

Now, heres a secret! YOU MUST MOVE!
Youve got to get up and move on a regular and consistent basis. A stroll is indeed better than nothing, but only just! Sure, depending on where you are starting from, a stroll may be all you can manage, but dont you kid yourself that a stroll will always be good enough to make a difference. If its taken you 5, 10 or 15 years to get into the condition youre in now, then trust me, a stroll just isnt enough. Get active and get moving and keep pushing a little bit further on a regular basis.

It really is all about burning the excess calories. By eating better, you will lose weight, but it will slow down to a stop if you dont get active. It doesnt matter where you are starting from, its how you finish that counts. Thats the important part finishing.

How much fitter will you be in a week from now? Not much maybe. What about a month from now? Well, you will certainly be a lot fitter than today if you get active. Can you imagine your fitness levels in 3 months? Im writing this in early June, how could you look and feel at Christmas time? A time when we socialise a lot and meet up with friends and family that we havent seen for some time.
You could look and feel fantastic, you really could.

You see, its easy to give up after a week or 2 because we cant see or feel much change, but as sure as it took time to pile on the extra 50 pounds or however much extra weight we may be carrying, it takes time to undo the damage before it becomes too late and we cant undo the health issues. Perseverance is the absolute key, after acceptance of course.

Just move! Walk around the block. Increase it to 2 blocks then 3 and so on. Walk for 10 minutes, then 15 by the end of the week. Before long you will want to get up earlier (yes, want to...), to walk for an hour before the day begins. Youll be able to walk round 6 blocks in the time it took you to walk round 4 blocks, it really is that simple...it really is.
Additional exercise can be added as you want it.

You know, thats really all there is to it, moving & eating healthy. Please dont over complicate things and come up with this excuse or that excuse. Its your life, use it or lose it.

The exercise part is very easy, just start. The healthy eating part is more of an education and although its not difficult, it can be a bit awkward at the beginning.
Remember, we are undoing years of bad practice, so we may need a little help.

We have a fantastic review on a healthy eating plan and would strongly encourage anyone to read the review and go from there; the link is in my Bio section.
I wish you all the very best for the future and remember the review can be accessed below.
