If you're breaking God's laws and you're trying to prophesy good things into your life, that's not going to work. The bible says in Exodus 15:26: "If you will obey my laws and you will do what I tell you to do, then I will put none of the diseases upon you that I put upon the Egyptians, for I am the Lord that healeth you." Well, you know, I had a lot of problems in my body for a long time and I was calling for help but God had to show me that I had too much stress in my life and too much of this and not enough of that, I needed to get more sleep, and I needed to take some time off.
As soon as I aligned myself up with what the word told me to do and I continued to confess the word of God, I started getting better and better and better and better and better and better and better. Listen, it takes us 20-30-40 years to make the messes we have and you can't just wave some little magic formula and get out of it in two weeks. You're going to have to get committed. Bring your mouth into God's service. Get your lips on the altar. Words contain power. Prophesy to those bones in your life. Go to 1 Samuel 17:42. I love this whole thing about David and Goliath. You can't defeat Goliath with your mouth shut. If you notice, David had something coming out of his mouth just about the whole time but it's important what was coming out of his mouth. When Saul tried to discourage him, David had some things coming out of his mouth. He started talking about all the victories he'd had in the past.
Joyce Meyer Ministries states that when people try to discourage you and tell you what you can't do, you need to talk about what you've already done. Did you hear me? I said: When people start trying to tell you what you can't do, you need to start talking about what you've already done. When people tell you what you're not, you need to tell them what God is.
