Hyundai Used Cars- The Accent

By:

Hyundai used cars like the Accent is a sub-compact vehicle that the Hyundai motor corporation brought into production back in 1995. Actually Hyundai like many more Asian motor companies were the brain child behind all these vehicles and started producing there first model back in 1980, with the launch of the Excel. The Hyundai Motor Corporation has gone through its ups and downs, but lately the company is well known for its well built and reliable vehicles. This is a far cry from what consumers thought of their vehicles in the early eighties, late nineties. With the turnaround of the company, I wanted to do some research on the Accent and see what it would be like as used vehicle.

Hyundai Accent used cars:

I look at Hyundai Accents from 2006 to 2010, these vehicles come with a three and five door hatch back and in 2007 a three door only was added to the line up. This happens to be a popular vehicle for the company because of its cheap price and so they didnt spend a lot of time on the interior design. Its a very practical vehicle and thats what its design for.

I have several different fuel statistics from the years 2006 to 2010. The 2006 automatic transmission for the sedan had a fuel rating of 8.3-litre, per 100km, for city driving and 5.9-litre, per 100km, for highway driving. The 2006 manual transmission had an 8.9-litre, per 100km, for city driving and 6.2-litre, per 100km, for highway driving. In 2009 the engine had an increase in fuel efficiency; it had a fuel rating of 7.9-litre, per 100km, for city driving and 5.6-litre, per 100km, for highway driving. The 2010 model had a fuel rating of 7.6-litre, per 100km, for city driving and 5.5-litre, per 100km, for highway driving.

The models from 2006 to 2010 had one engine and it was powered by a four-cylinder, 1.6-litre engine, which had 110 horsepower under the hood. Then in 2007 the redesign hatch back got a new engine but still carried the 1.6-litre, four cylinder engine. All Hyundai used cars like the Accent come either in an automatic or manual transmission.

Lets look at the pros and cons of the Accent as a used vehicle:

1-There are problems with the speed sensor in the automatic transmission giving it bad shift when going into gear.
2-There is a problem with a bad sensor for the emission systems going off.
3-The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety organization gave it and an acceptable rating for a frontal crash test done to it.

I hope this helps if youre thinking of buying a used Hyundai Accent.
