Hyundai i10 is one of the most popular hatchbacks of India that launched in 2007. In 2008, it won the Indian Car of the Year Award. ARAI certified its petrol version as best in class for fuel efficiency. It also rated the powerful BS-IV 1.2 Kappa engine is the best and reliable engine in hatchback segment that gives 20.36 kmpl per liter.

Hyundai i10 comes with awesome ergonomics that makes it easier to drive even for the beginner. Since i10 is zippy and light weighted, handlings are best and comfortable and it supports you in maneuvering. The thoughtful engine delivers excellent output, but keeps the model economical by giving an average mileage of 16 kmpl in city traffic.

When Hyundai i10 get acquaintance with odd potholes, the thuds sounds of suspension are audible at low speed but it assures to give balanced and quality drive once catch up with high speed. The i10 drives quite comfortably. One issue does occur when you're taking a turn on a rough road - the car's back tends to go a bit out of control. Fortunately, it's not too bad as long as you don't pressurize the car too much. The steering wheel is perfect to hold that promise not to confuse the driver even at high speed. Its awesome brakes and skinny tubeless tires make the ride enthusiastic.

Hyundai i10 comes in nine variants with two types of engine and transmission. The variants Era and D-lite are fitted with 1.1 liter IRDE petrol engine with the displacement of 1086 cc with five speed manual gearbox that churns out maximum power and torque of 66.7 ps at 5500 rpm and 10.1 kgm at 2500 rpm respectively. This IRDE powerful engine is a high performer that promises to give smooth acceleration and reaches the top speed of 149 kmph, in just 15.55 seconds it attains 0-100 kmph.

The variants Magna, Asta W sunroof, Asta and Sports come with 1.2 l Kappa petrol engine with five speed manual transmission. Compared to IRDE engine, Kappa engine is more powerful that can attain 0-100 kmpl in just 13.02 seconds and reaches 151 kmpl at top speed.

The automatic version of Asta, Magna and Sportz also come with Kappa engine that deliver lower acceleration compared to manual versions. These models of Hyundai i10 reach 144 kmph at top speed and touch 100 kmph in 16.27 seconds.

The latest versions or next generation Hyundai i10 are upgraded with 1.2 Kappa2 mill petrol engine and upgraded 1.1 IRDE2 engine with four-cylinder that are with the latest VTVT and DOHC technologies.
