Hundreds Homeless As Australian Fires Turn Deadly

By:

The fires in Australia was fast and furious as it destroyed almost everything in its path. The fire raged on for some folks like an eternity. Escaping only with their life in some cases, there was others that were not so lucky. As we all know, this is one country that strong wind is not just likely, it is very common for the wind to blow strongly on a daily basis.

This being a key ingredient for a fire to burn, it is really hard to imagine how fast an hot a fire can get when they are both present and just only a few days ago it showed us what it was really capable of doing. Racing across the hillsides of this beautiful land, this monster became a reality in just seconds. The fire was there upon them with seeming like no where to run or hide and the heat had to be unbearable.

In this type of a blaze, a water hose from your yard is no defense what so ever because trying to fight this blaze could cost you your life. Fire and wind together is almost unstoppable and will burn you from a distance that you would think that you would be safe, but in reality, with the wind blowing and the heat of the fire, the temperature can reach hundreds of degrees and literately burn our flesh.

Many people in Australia that were in the path of these most recent wildfires lost everything they had. In some areas, it was nothing more than a foundation and clear open view of nothing more than burnt land. This could not have been a pretty site to see after losing their homes and all of their belongings to this monster of a blaze. Seeing the pictures of this one is almost too much to bear. This has been such a painful tragedy for the people of Australia, but as wildfires are so common in some areas there, it is not likely to be the last one.

It is hard to say sometimes what causes these terrible wildfires. Sometimes it is the sick work of arsonists. They do suspect that some of the Australian fires could have been set deliberately. Then again, sometimes it is just the dry, hot climates of a region combined with plenty of natural brush and trees that sets the stage for wildfires. Lightening strikes can start the fires and the winds will fan the flames. There is not a lot that can be done since we can not read the mind of an arsonist ahead of time and no one can control Mother Nature.
