Htc Incredible Vs. Iphone

Htc Incredible Vs. Iphone

By:

Apples iPhone is still the most popular Smartphone out in the marketplace. But the Droids are gaining ground. The HTC Incredible, with all its super features, is a major contender to compete with the iPhone 4. Of course Apple is scheduled to bring out a new version (iPhone 5) as soon as June, with many more features. But for now, the feature rich HTC Incredible has many more features that users are craving.

The HTC Incredible is converting iPhone users that are tired of AT&Ts service, or lack of service. Of course now you can also get the iPhone at Verizon, so there is a choice, but if you are considering switching to Verizon, consider the HTC Incredible instead of the iPhone. According to CNET Reviews, the Incredible beats the iPhone in 15 ways. Here is there a synopsis of their review of the HTC Incredible itself:

Pros:
Fast processor
Beautiful display
Great camera quality
Wealth of applications through Marketplace
Fit and feel
VZW Network quality
Highly customizable interface
Integration of contact data

Cons:
Poorly documented by VZW
Marketplace apps only through phone interface
Not many accessories available yet

The HTC Incredible has so many wonderful Android features. First of all, since I use Google Docs at work, I appreciate being able to access my Google Docs on the HTC Incredible. With the Incredible being a Google-based Smartphone, you have access to Google Maps, Google Voice, Gmail, etc. With the Google Map feature it actually allows you to add layers. (For example you can pull up the map of NYC and overlay the subway routes. You cant do that on the iPhone.) And let us not forget that the Incredible has Adobe Flash as well. Apple and Adobe dont get along, so any website that uses Flash is horrible on the iPhone, if you can access it at all.

The Incredible has a wonderful 8.0 megapixel camera with an LED flash. The iPhone camera doesnt have a flash, so it is only good in daylight hours. The Incredible camera also takes wonderful HD video. The Incredible has a physical camera/video button rather than just the onscreen button that the iPhone has, which makes it easy to use.

The Incredible lets you transfer files without iTunes. It doesnt matter whether you like iTunes or not, the Incredible lets you transfer file simply by connecting to your computer and copying files over to the phone or vice versa. And the best part is that you can connect to as many computers as you want without having to go through a whole bunch of stuff with iTunes. And speaking of iTunes, with the Incredible you can play wma files as well. When you're listening to music and you click the button to turn on the screen, you don't need to unlock the screen to see what music is playing. The iPhone has that as well. But unlike the iPhone, it also has usable back, pause and forward buttons on the locked screen.

On the Incredible, using Google Voice, you can send a call directly to voicemail. Simply edit the contact information and request it be sent directly to voicemail. I find this incredibly handy. There are some longwinded people I just dont want to talk to, but still want to hear their message. Then I can return their call at my convenience.

The HTC Incredible is super thin Smartphone. It fits in your pocket more easily than the Motorola Droid. It incredibly fast (no pun intended), and there rarely any lag loading up apps. All in all, CNET Reviews rates it 5 stars. The only downside I can see is that the standard battery that comes with the Incredible may not be enough for your needs. You can always purchase a spare battery or an extended battery for it. You can get an HTC Incredible Extended Battery on sale right now at batteries4less for only $27.77 during their Droid Battery Sale talk about incredible!
