Htc Evo 3d: Weighing-in The Pros And Cons

By:

One of the latest smartphones released in the market today is the HTC Evo 3D, one of the few handheld devices that features 3D viewing and stereoscopic imaging technology. It would seem that the mobile technology has once again evolved with the Evo 3D, because it doesn't just incorporate the HD imaging, it goes the extra mile by introducing 3D to the world of smartphones. But if you are skeptical and want to make sure that you won't be wasting your money on such a gadget, perhaps you'd want to read through this article and learn more about the Evo 3D.

HTC Evo 3D: paving the path to the future?

If you think that 3D is indeed the way people are going to see things in the future, then the Evo 3D would somehow pave the path for you. But don't expect a smooth transition, because as it is now, the Evo 3D does not offer everything in 3D. It has some aspects that remain 2-dimensional, and perhaps you'd like it more that way, if you were not really fond of headache inducing 3-dimensional images. But in its imperfect form, the HTC Evo 3D could already be considered outstanding, because you don't really see a lot of handheld devices with the guts to and the capacity to pull off such a feature. For a handheld device, it comes packed (or even crammed) with a lot of good stuff that you'll love. What's more, you can customize the content as you see fit, so it's really up to you on how you're going to use and see this smartphone. You decide on what apps to put in, and what apps you're going to run. This is merely a tool (a very sophisticated tool) that lets you enjoy your life further.

HTC Evo 3D: the good points

The Evo 3D has a lot of things to offer to its users. One aspect that deserves an A+ is the hardware that comes with this gadget. It sports the fastest processor for mobile phones, which is the 1.2 GHz dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon; it has an Adreno 220 GPU, and an improved 1 GB of RAM. These figures are even better than most entry-level netbooks in the market today. This means you'll be able to switch from one application to another without any hassle, and running three to four apps simultaneously would be a breeze for the Evo 3D.

HTC Evo 3D: the not-so-good points

Although the highlight of the Evo 3D is the 3D viewing that it offers, as well as the 3D image capture capability, these features could also be considered as its low points. The 3D viewing feature is limited only to some content, but that doesn't make the Evo 3D inferior to other phones. It features a 4.3-inch qHD display that lets you view 2D and stereoscopic content. The 3D capture offered by its two 5-megapixel rear cameras is not really outstanding; but considering that the Evo 3D is one of the very few mobile devices to offer such a feature, then snagging one from the store isn't really a big issue.

Overall, the HTC Evo 3D is a powerful device that has some great looking features. The 3D aspect is a bit dodgy, but that shouldn't deter you from considering this on your next smartphone purchase.
