A special edition to tequila has just entered the beverage market. This unique type of tequila contains edible gold and silver and is the invention of a Mexican distillery.

The Mexican company is hoping that this special edition of tequila will increase the sales figures. They are also hoping that with this new product they will gain other customers that haven't yet discovered the taste of the traditional Mexican drink.

The Mexican beverage contains edible gold and silver flakes that don't represent a threat to the consumers and that enrich the flavor of the drink. The unique drink is bottled in a handmade Italian crystal bottle that has a 24 karat label.

At first the liquor can only be found on the Mexican market beginning with April. Later on the drink will be exported into Europe and parts of the US. The creators of this drink know all about the Europeans passion for edible gold and so they decided to bet on fondness.

History tells us that the Chinese and the Egyptians used small amounts of gold in their food. This precious metal is still used today in some European products.

In the 15th century, alchemists used gold as medicine. In our days, doctors use gold for the treatment of prostate cancer and as of recently, neck and head cancer. The producers of this fine drink claim that the gold-lace tequila has medicinal properties as for example antioxidant properties.

The company also has certificates of quality both from the US and the European Union. The first shipment of tequila will be distributed mostly in Mexico and partially to Belgium, Britain, Canada and some other parts of Europe and the US and it will comprise 5.000 bottles of this fine liquor.

If you are interested in this precious metal but not the edible type, then you can start investing in gold. This would actually be a very smart move as now the gold market is hot.
