If someone is saying, the bathroom in a home does not need a lot of attention when it comes to the subject interior decorating, is for sure giving you a wrong advice.The bathroom in a home should be a wellness oasis where you can find
relaxation from the daily stress. You probably will agree with me, nothing is more relaxing than having a nice bubble bath in a bathtub filled with cozy warm water. This can still be improved by filling the room with with the scent of aromatic fragrances and the use of special bath salts.
Sound good so far? But you also will have to agree with me, the bubble bath can't be all that will convert an otherwise ordinary and mostly cold looking bathroom into a personal wellness oasis if the walls are dull and there are no decorative accents. Adding some decor and accents can transform any otherwise dull looking bathroom easily in an oasis for wellness and relaxation. Besides of the decor and furnishing, the right lightning in a bathroom is as important to make you feel comfortable.
Furniture pieces like hanging cabinetry, where you can store towels, wash cloths and sponges but furthermore even cosmetic accessories and tools are same as important as wall mirrors, decorative and stylish towel holders, eventually a nice corner rack or even a wall shelf. A small cabinet for storing medicine or first aid utensils for any emergencies, can also be found in most bathrooms.
Especially in a smaller bathroom that do not provide room enough for the installation of a big vanity, you can install a wall shelf or console right above the sink to store all your utensils like a tooth brush holders but also the cosmetic
accessories for the daily use.
Most home decor stores offer a nice selection of bathroom decor sets and decorative accents, for you to design and decorate your very own wellness oasis. Also available are Bath Gift Set Baskets, which always will add a great accent to any bathroom. Nicely designed bathroom rugs, which should complement your other decor and and eventually even the shower curtains, are a great way to accent the otherwise cold tile floor. Towel holders, rings or racks, matching the styles and designs of the other furniture should always be installed in locations, so they can easily be reached from your sink, bathtub or shower. Some small figurines, a few sea shells in a decorative bowl, a decorative candle and the hanging up a few decorative hand towels can be used as additional accents to round up your decorating efforts and are only a few more suggestions for you to spruce up the feel and look of your bathroom.
Same as for any other room in a home, there are actually no limitations on how to decorate a bathroom, regardless of the size and if we are talking about the
master bathroom or a guest bathroom in your home. Bathroom decor design styles and themes are ranging among many other from contemporary
modern, over rustic to beach or safari style. The variety is almost countless and each theme has it's own beauty. It is one and only up to you, what you will like the best and what fits your personality and decorating style the best. Decorating your current bathroom/s doesn't mean you have to get broke over it. Even on a small budget you can make all the difference in the world to the look and feel of any room in your home, even to the bathroom.
But let's not forget about the right amount of light, which will have a big influence on how you will feel in your bathroom. Functionality and design are
same as important when it comes to the right amount of light and the choice of the right lighting fixtures. You want make for sure, you always to have enough lighting, in example for putting on your makeup, styling your hair or shaving. But on the other hand, I'm sure you will not like a bright light in your bathroom, while having a relaxing bubble bath.
I couldn't think of anything that was more relaxing than having a relaxing bubble bath in a bathroom, only illuminated by the light of a few candles and the air filled with the scents of aroma oil, released by an oil warmer.
Now that you probably are having an idea how you can design and decorate your bathroom for that new look and feel, there is one more thing you should consider to add.
House plants - that very own way to accent any room, even a bathroom. So they for sure shouldn't be missing in your new wellness oasis either. Plants
will not just add another touch, they will also bring nature and life into your bathroom. I'm sure there is a way for you to find a spot where you can place a stylish flower pot or decorative planter on a corner or wall shelf or on top of a cabinet, if not even on the floor. In fact, even artificial plants and flowers can
be used as a substitute.
As you hopefully can see now, it doesn't take really much more than some creativity, imagination and maybe a little planning ahead to transform any bathroom into your very own, self designed and decorated personal wellness oasis.
