As all good business people know, we all need customers, and in the current economic climate, the more we can find the better.

More customers, equals more revenue, equals more profits.

Local online search has now taken over from the historical methods of searching for local businesses, such as yellow pages for example, with more people now using the former than the latter.

Here are two very pertinent questions for you. If people are searching locally online for the products or services which your company markets, will they find you?. Or will they find your competitors instead? Another question, even more pertinent, is CAN those people find you?. By that is meant do you actually have a web presence at all?.

In both cases, whether they have difficult finding you, or are unable to find you, then you are at best leaving money on the table, and at worst are leaving your marketplace wide open to your competition, and jeopardising the future of your business.

Remember that third paragraph above. More people are now using online search to find local offline businesses than the old historical methods, and you simply must be visible to those people when they search for your products or services. The way people purchase, or seek advice and information so as to make purchases, has changed dramatically in the last few years. All research is showing that it will continue to do so, and at an even faster and faster rate.

The bottom line is therefore very simply this. Unless you are visible online to your potential customers when they search for your product or service, your business could ultimately have no future. The other side of that coin of course is that you can dominate your local marketplace, in any product niche, with the right help and advice.

And remember again, the world is not just changing, it ALREADY HAS. And the pace of that change is breathtakingly dramatic, every day in life.

If you rely on the old "tried and tested" methods of getting customers, then those potential customers will soon be lost to you. Those old methods are either dead or dying. You need to use the methods of today and show to your potential customers that you have a business which is primed and ready to succeed in the new decade.
