How To Write Great Articles To Promote Your Personal Brand

Article marketing is becoming one of the easiest and one of the fastest ways to promote your personal brand. By simply writing some articles about topics that you know about, you show the public that you are the expert in a certain field and that your knowledge on that subject can be an invaluable help to them. They then become familiar with you and use you and your product or service whenever they need it. But, what if you're not a writer? Don't worry! You can still take advantage of this very easy way to promote your personal brand.

Of course, you'll need to start by choosing a topic. When you're first starting out in article marketing, this is a pretty easy step. What do you want people to know? What are the most important topics that you want to cover first? What do you mostly want to say? Start with these, and chances are that you'll have a list of topics that are ready to be written about.

Once you have your topic, you need to decide on what kind of article you want to write, and for this there are some very clear answers. People no longer want to read formal articles that are filled with lengthy sentences and huge paragraphs. When people go online, there is a ton of information available to them and they want to get through it all as quickly as possible. Because of this, you'll want to make sure your articles are filled with shorter paragraphs that give people all the information they need in a clear and succinct way.

Coming up with a headline is one of the most important parts of writing good articles. Again, there's a lot of information out there and people will only stop to read what they think will be the most valuable and most interesting. Your headline is the first way to tell people that your articles will be both of these to them. People really like how-to articles, top ten or top five lists, or lists of "Dos" and "Don'ts." This is because these types of articles tell the reader that they'll get a lot of helpful information in a short amount of time.

Lastly, there's the content. Of course, making sure that you have the right kind of article and a great headline will only get you so far. If the information that follows is useless to them, that's probably the only article of yours they're going to read. Always, always make sure that the content within your article is actually going to be of value to other people. Otherwise the whole point of article marketing to promote your personal brand has been lost. Make sure that content you provide is interesting, helpful, and is information that people actually want to hear!
