How To Use A Curling Iron

Do you curl your hair that often? Do you even own a curling iron? The reason I ask these two questions is because some people that have a curling iron still dont know how to use it properly. What you need to understand is that there are a lot of ways that you can use a curling iron but there are only a few right ways to do it.

The first thing that you need to know is that in order to use a curling iron the right way you first have to make sure your hair is completely dry. This is something that a lot of people forget to do and the reason I want to bring this up is because it will actually ruin your hair. The reason having wet hair and then using a curling iron will ruin it is because the curling iron is so hot that it will actually take out a lot of the nutrients from your hair strands.

How To Use A Curling Iron

Something that I highly recommend is that you brush your hair before you curl it because if you dont then you will have sections that are stuck together. The problem that some people have is they think they can brush their hair when they are done curling it but that will just take the curls out. Trust me on this one, it never works out as well as you think it will.

What you want to do is make sure your curling iron is to the right temperature because you dont want to start curling your hair if it is still heating up. What you need to keep in mind is that when a curling iron is still heating up it will make your hair look different from one side to the other. This is what you want to avoid unless that is the look you are going for.

The next thing you need to know is that you have to go from the bottom of your hair to the top of it. The reason you do this is because starting from the middle and going up will leave a crease in your hair. I know you are wondering who would even do that but there really are people that start from the middle and go up and the reason they do this is because they have too much hair and it makes it easier this way.
