The semi-lost cause goes something like this:

o He/she doesn't really ever see you, and hasn't blocked you from talking to them, but they never really respond.
o Your ex is dating someone else as well.
This is a semi-lost cause, because potentially everything above could be fixed, but it would take a lot of hard work, because the very first bullet point is the main issue: you argue too much.
This would mean that both of you would have to change, and if your ex is not willing to change, then you would never be able to get him/her back. Topped with the fact that your ex is dating someone else, this is just a lost cause, because they are trying to move on.
The "unlost" cause
This is a cause that can still be salvaged, which means you can do something to get your ex back, and includes any or all of the following:
o Your ex talks to you
o He/she still tries to see you
o Your ex hasn't really moved on or dated anyone new
o They always talk about the past and don't seem to be over it
o They get back to you when you call
o They ignore you sometimes, but still talk to you after a while
o He/she seems to get jealous at the idea of you dating again
o Your ex still tries to make you happy
o Etc.....
