How To Teach Sit -the Positive Way... Effectively Teach Puppy To Sit In Days!

The key to successfully learning how to teach sit, you should teach puppy to sit with patience and a positive attitude. Punishment using physical force will not help you teach puppy to sit. What you are going to do is take a treat and place it close to his nose, then bring it above his head slightly and move it down towards his back tail area.

Telling him to sit as you do this. He should naturally sit on his own. If he sits for even a second, give him that treat and give praise. Once you have learned how to teach sit to your dog, you can use the command anywhere you go. Mastering how to teach sit, requires constant repetition. Try to teach puppy to sit in other places besides your house or yard. Try sidewalks when taking a walk.

Then try learning how to teach sit to your do in a busy or distracting area, like a park. As your learn how to teach sit, he will start understanding the real meaning of the word, sit. Then start to reduce the amount of treats given to him. When you teach puppy to sit, start by treating him every two or three times instead of each time you command him. This will reinforce this command keep his interest when learning.

As you teach puppy to sit, try to keep your lessons short, about five minutes once or twice a day. Only try this at times when the dog seems happy and attentive. Finish up each session in a positive way. The more success your dog feels, the more he will be willing and easy it is to teach puppy to sit.
