There are many ways. The more expensive way would be to put actual ads in the sidebars of a Facebook home page or profile page. But this can earn the danger of being ignored as users rarely fall for those kinds of ads. The best that can happen is that they look at it but scrap it.

A more effective marketing scheme on Facebook is to create either a group or page, and then request people to like it. This could work effectively especially for small businesses aiming to gain publicity and clients. Small businesses can take advantage of the network of first the people involved in the business and then before one knows it, it will eventually spread throughout an even wider or broader network.

Creating your own fanpage is a great way to build your customer’s trust because you will be able to establish an image where you are able to update your fans. This will make them feel that you are giving them importance and you give value to what they want and what they like to suggest.
