How To Remove A Negative Thought From Your Mind

Know what is most important to you
Before you can start to actively work on your thoughts and removing the negative thoughts from your mind you must first be clear on what is most important to you in your life. By knowing what is most important you will then be able to clearly understand and know what you need to do to ensure that the rewriting of your thoughts will benefit you in the long run. Without knowing what is most important to you your ability to know if a thought is negative or not is significantly affected.

Clearly understand your goals
You also need to have a clear understanding of your goals in life in order for the rewriting of negative thoughts to benefit you as much as possible. When you have a clear and well defined goal you are moving towards you can adjust your thoughts to ensure they are in the best alignment with your goals as possible. You can't effectively change a negative thought to a positive thought unless you know where the thought needs to lead you.

Analyze your current thoughts
Before you can begin to remove your negative thoughts and replace them with well written new positive thoughts, you must first know what your thoughts are and decide if the current thoughts you have are either negative or positive. This is very simple to do. Every 20 or 30 minutes, have a simple alarm go off on your phone or computer that you will use as a trigger to write your thoughts down. When you are writing down these thoughts do not judge if they are good or bad positive or negative. When making the list do just that, make a list.

It is only after you have worked on building this list for a couple for weeks that you come back to the full list and start to judge each thought as being positive or negative. The key here is not to judge it based on the wording, judge it based on what is most important to you and your goals. If the thought is in alignment with what is most important to you AND also helps you to advance towards your goals, then this is a positive thought and one you want to keep. Put these positive thoughts in a list and read those positive and beneficial thoughts daily. If a thought in your original list either does not match what is most important to you and/or move you in a positive manner towards your goals then these are negative thoughts. These negative thoughts go into a different list, which we will work with next.

Rewrite the negative into positive to match your goals
Prior to working with the negative thoughts be sure to be reading and focusing on the positive thoughts you write down. This will reinforce these positive thoughts and start to fill space in your mind with these positive thoughts even more then they were already there. Now it is time to look at your list of negative thoughts. You have two choices you can make in reference to each thought.

If the thought has absolutely no reference what so ever to either what is most important to you or move you towards your goals, then just get rid of them. Write all of these completely unbeneficial thoughts onto small pieces of paper, start a small fire in a fire pit or in a BBQ grill, and with the intention of releasing these thoughts forever, throw them into the fire and make sure they burn completely.
The rest of your negative thoughts list may have something that is in alignment with what is most important to you or connected to your goals. This is where you get to take this negative thought and rewrite it so it is now both positive and in alignment with both what is most important to you and your goals. Take your time while doing this because you want to ensure the new thoughts you are putting into your mind are positive and in alignment with both of the two categories f what is most important and your goals.

If you follow these four steps you son find that your mind will be overfilled with positive and healthy thoughts, The more positive and supportive thoughts you have the more in alignment with your final goals you become and the quicker you will achieve these goals. Stay focused on the positive and you will get to where you desire to be and have the abundance you desire.
