How To Rate A Dentist

By:

Have you had a particularly excellent experience at a new dentist's office lately? Perhaps you've had a particularly awful one! There are networks on-line where you can have your say about your experience and share it with other people who are currently looking for a new dentist to visit regularly. Customer satisfaction is just as important with medical professionals as any other service you spend money on. Just because they have a degree doesn't mean they're going to be great.

Doctor /patient candor is one of the first things that people look for in a dentist rating. People want a dental health professional they can feel comfortable with. Many people have a fear of the dentist's office. You can tell right away if you feel comfortable. And this doesn't just have to be with the doctor but the entire experience. How was the administrative staff? Were they helpful in dealing with your insurance company? What about the dental hygienist? We're they courteous? Or were they unnecessarily short with you? How did they approach their work?

You can also rate a dentist's office by his or her level or customer service. Perhaps they go the extra step in a maintenance cleaning. They may have the latest technology for the most basic of services - your bi-annual cleanings. Some offices are sure to get you in and out efficiently. Have you ever made an appointment but not get into the actual office until twenty or even forty minutes later? That can ruin a whole day's worth of plans. On the flip side, perhaps your visit was extremely efficient, so efficient that you're not sure if they did a thorough job. You can put this all in a rating.

Some offices offer a wide variety of dental services, not just cleanings or routine fillings. The level of technology for all sorts of dental surgery and cosmetic dentistry may be available. It's also great to go to an office with more than one professional, an office where each dentist has a special focus - so whatever your mouth needs, you can be provided for all under one roof. Being able to cross-refer to other dentists is a great way to save the hassle of having to go to another office. Also, your whole family may be able to be taken care of by the same doctor. If your dentist has the same great personality for your kids as for you, this would be excellent for a mother or father looking for a family dentist recommendation on-line.

A lot of rating systems for services on-line will include a star rating and then leave a section for comments. Usually the star rating is between one in five, one being very unsatisfactory and five being very satisfactory. Three is pretty neutral - not excellent, not horrible. You'd be amazed how many people might be looking for someone in this category! In and out twice a year is all they really care about. Sometimes it's location. Are they close to where they are? In the comments section, you can expound upon your rating letting people know why you chose the rating you did. Be sure to point out some of what was good and bad. Be courteous yourself! Don't just bad mouth the doctor. Give your honest opinion.
