Polyethylene packaging can be cast, cut, glued or moulded which make it perfect for a large range of packing uses. There are various types of polyethylene foams such as Neopolen, Stratocell, Plastazote, Jiffy foam & Ethafoam; it is also available in pink, which is an anti-static stratocell.
Packing foam is now also available in biodegradable forms, called Greencell which is an alternative to more conventional foams. This can be used in a variety of ways and is also suitable to for die-cutting. The natural anti-static qualities of the foam make it perfect for packing delicate electronics. Most foam packing can be re-used and some foam such as Stratocell can be returned to the manufacturer for recycling.
