Is metal slug the best classic action arcade game?

Yes it is indeed the favorite action game ever! Not because you get to be a champion at least once in your lifetime even if its just in arcade but because its an invigorating hand-drawn animated cartoon game instead of a complicated graphics game. Also, the story just gets better each time. Well, who doesnt love an action-packed, shooting, run and gun game? Everybody loves violent bloodshed. Thats for sure. It is good though not in real life.

So I suppose it all began for our love for Contra on those sleepless nighttimes in front of the aged big box type TV with our beloved family computer trying to complete the game. We are not done yet are we?

Metal Slugs objective, just like any other action game is to get rid of everyone who crosses your way until you encounter the boss at the end of each level. Following the original Metal Slug were Metal Slug 2, Metal Slug X, Metal Slug 3, Metal Slug 4, Metal Slug 5, Metal Slug 6 and the compilation of the series Metal Slug Anthology. Most of these versions, if not all, were published across all gaming platforms. The objective of the game remained the same throughout all variations.

Let us get to know the members of the Peregrine Falcon team, the famous people of Metal Slug.

Marco Rossi or Marchrius Dennis Rossi, the fundamental character of the series, was born in the US despite his Italian descent. He joined the team after graduating from the military and started as First Lieutenant from Metal Slug until his promotion to Major in Metal Slug 6.

Tarma Roving or Tarmicle Roving III is the son of a Japanese soldier who at age 20 saved the President resulting to his involvement to the squad. This is Captain Rossis best ally and an enthusiastic motorcycle hobbyist.

Eri Kasamoto was an orphan who grew up in the church but decided to run away when she got older. The government realized her combating skills while growing up in the streets and entered her to by a spy. Since she had numerous accomplishments, her petition to be transferred to the SPARROWS, a special forces group of the government, was allowed which led to another important achievement when she was able to successfully end Mordens second coup d etat. As a reward, she was advanced to Sergeant, Second Class.

Fiolina Germi is an Italian heiress who joined the military as part of a family tradition being the eldest child in the family. Though her interest at heart is to be in the discipline of medicine, Fio is a Master Sergeant at SPARROWS.

Trevor Spacey was a 3 year old computer sensation. He was recruited by the by the army to be a part of the team where he meets and worships Marco Rossi, who knows more about computers than even he does.

Nadia Cassel is French and an aspiring model. She really joined the army to shed off weight but was amazed with her hidden fighting talents so she volunteered for SPARROWS and assisted in their operations to contain Morden.
