People are always looking for ideas for holidays; something which is going to be special, unique and memorable. How about a European Casino Vacation? It allows one to take in Europe during the day and the European Casino at night.
One might start off in Moscow not too far away from the shadow of Red Square and the Kremlin. The Casino Metropol is open 24 hours a day and is the home of Moscow's elite. The Casino which is a European casino in the classical sense is part of the Hotel Metropol. The hotel has witnessed much since it opened for business in 1907.
On the other side of the continent is Estoril which is in Portugal and is the largest European casino. During the Second World War it looked like the set of Casablanca with the tables littered with spies, royalty, soldiers and diplomats. While it doesn't have the same cache as Monte Carlo or London, Estoril holds its own. You never know what you are going to find or witness. It made news when a couple played a slot machine and for a 70p bet won nearly half a million pounds.
After Estoril, one may wish to go to Monte Carlo. Ever since Prince Charles III opened Monaco's first casino in 1863, the city has become a byword for class, luxury and the best things in life. It would be the first place that comes to mind when one thinks of European casinos. The Monte Carlo casino is lavish as they come and sets the benchmark high for its colleagues. No other European casino can boast the same heritage and history as this one. It is truly a special place and a must on the itinerary.
London's Clermont Club would also be close to a must on the European casino itinerary. It is one of the most exclusive places in London. It has the distinction of once being owned by Playboy. Stop in by the Clermont Club and you never know who you are going to bump into. It could be royalty, movie stars or some of the richest people in the world.
Not as glamorous but still a fine European casino is the Casino Baden Baden. It opened its doors for business in 1809 and has been one of the world's most popular casinos ever since. At one time real silver and gold was used for the roulette chips but this quickly changed when the chips were worth more than their face value. The casino is located on the fringes of the Black Forest in the region of Karlsruhe.
Not too far away is Holland's Casino Amsterdam. One of the bigger European casinos, it has 100,000 square feet of space devoted to casino fun. The Casino really looks after its VIP visitors and allows them to play in the luxury and comfort that is befitting to them. It is a European Casino that is most likely going to pleasantly surprise you.
The European Casino tour is a great way to see Europe. Most European countries now feature casinos and so one should have more than enough choice. Best yet, it is a holiday which can pay for itself.
