How To Make The Best Imovie '11 Trailers

Apple recently made major announcements to Mac products with their Back to the Mac event. During this event they revealed the new iLife '11 suite, including iMovie '11 and its new features. The biggest feature in iMovie '11 is the trailers feature. For more about how to make the best trailers, read on.

Essentially, the trailers will do all the work for you. You will no longer have to trim your clips, speed them up or slow them down, pick the right transitions or music. Just give iMovie the info and clips that it asks for, and it will handle the rest.

It will first give you a list of different themes you can choose from. Among these themes are Action, Adventure, Blockbuster, Documentary, Epic Drama, Film Noir, Friendship, Holiday, Love Story, Pets, Romantic Comedy, Sports, Spy, Supernatural, and Travel. Look at the footage you have and then pick out the best theme for your project.

Next, you will have to fill out the information that iMovie '11 asks for in the Outline. This will be used for the intro and for the credits. You will also have to pick a logo style, and fill out the names of the cast members. Don't worry about formatting any of the info. iMovie will do that for you.

Next step is to fill the trailer with the kind of clips required. iMovie will ask for action shots, group shots, close ups, full body shots, etc. You don't have to worry about the timing or anything. iMovie will handle the speeding up and the slowing down as well. Just put in the right clips, and you're done.

Your final product will be quite a stunning movie that you will be proud to show your family and friends. Export it into any size you want, and put it up on YouTube. Congratulations! You've just made an iMovie '11 Trailer!
