Having to begin a

At least this way you can be sure that the job will be done properly; that is assuming you get a reputable company to do the work.

mold clean up you will have arrived at the most important part of the operation; finding what caused the mold to occur in the first place and removing that cause. There are a number of reasons why you are experiencing mold depending on what part of the house you have the problem. For the sake of simplicity they can be reduced to two main causes; poor ventilation and dampness. Mold needs moisture and dead organic material to thrive so if you eliminate one of these you eliminate the problem. You probably cant remove all the wood and other organic material from your home so you need to eliminate the moisture. If the water is coming from leaks then you will need to repair these. If the water is coming from condensation then you will need to improve your ventilation.
