How To Maintain Your New Car

By:

So youve bought yourself a new private car, and for now youre enjoying hassle-free driving. But this wont last forever, and your car will gradually be worn down through constant use. Having your private car repaired is inevitable, but some people are able to hold out longer than others, and the difference lies largely in proper car maintenance.
Why Maintenance is so Important
By properly maintaining your private car, you can prolong its lifespan by making sure that all its parts are functioning properly. At the same time, you will be able to immediately identify any malfunctions in the car, and address the problem right away.
Maintenance has to be regular, since the point is to monitor the condition of your private car. If something goes wrong, and youre not performing regular check-ups, you might not find out right away, and the conditions of your car will slowly deteriorate until it breaks down and you have to take it to the shop for repairs, which can be quite costly.
Parts of the Car to Check
A proper maintenance check will cover at least the following parts of the car:
1.engine oil Changing your oil regularly will keep your engine in tip top shape. The key is to know when its time to throw out the old stuff. Transparent is best, slightly brown is okay and black is bad.
2.transmission fluid Transmission fluid should ideally be red. Again, black fluid is a sign that its time for change.
3.engine coolant The idea is to top it up as often as you can, just to stay on the safe side. Letting this slip your mind for a long time can easily lead to your private care overheating.
4.tires Know the ideal tire pressure for your set of tires (check your private car Owners Manual). If you feel vibration when on the move, you may need to have your tires balanced. Leaving your tires unbalanced can, in an extreme scenario, cause your car to swerve out of control.
5.battery If you have the proper instrument, you can measure the charge left in your battery. By monitoring this, you wont be surprised to one day find out that your private car cant start up.
Other Good Practices
Wash your private car regularly so that nothing will eat away at the outer coating. This coating is protective, and without it, you can easily become the victim of rust and other problems. Every once in a while youll want to reinforce this outer coat with car wax.
If you think that there might be something wrong with your private car, dont put off checking it out and bringing it to the car shop if necessary. With mechanical technology like cars, the longer a problem is left unaddressed, the worse it becomes.
Finally, try to use only original parts. This will ensure that all the parts of your private car are compatible with one another. You will also avoid having conflicts with your insurance company, which might not cover you if you are found to have used non-original car parts.
