One of the most successful websites of all time is Facebook; I am sure you have heard of it. Did you know that it was started by a student at a university as a way to keep in touch with other students? But it just exploded.

Forbes now lists the owner of Facebook as the youngest ever self made billionaire at the age of just 19.

You may well ask, what has this to do with weight loss? Actually, there can be a strong connection between a social network site and weight loss.

Facebook has illustrated the huge potential when thousands of people get together and make friends. It has also inspired the key that will bring successful weight loss to untold millions of people around the World who previously could not manage it. What is that key? How does it work?

Simple. Research has shown that it is almost always lack of challenge and competition that sabotages weight loss efforts. It is a tough battle, and when people find themselves on their own, it is just too tough and it is easy to become discouraged.

Even if they have a spouse or partner who agrees to join in to help and encourage, they may not have the same level of commitment and that can also lead to failure.

Harvard University have proved that the success rate would increase dramatically, that in a close group weight loss can spread from person to person. The bigger the group, the better it works and there is a better chance of finding someone compatible with you.

Think of the advantages: You would be provided with help; encouragement; motivation; guidance; advice; ideas; and information.

You would be helped to stay accountable and on course; made to feel part of a team; you will have someone to listen when you are discouraged or down; help to overcome fears; and share the success!

See if you can find a group online who can help you with your weight loss endeavors. That is the key to success.
