How To Lose Weight When All Else Has Failed

By:

What is your weight stopping you from doing? Let me tell you a story about a friend of mine.

She was a beautiful dancer, and not only was she good at it, but it was her passion and her first love. She just loved to dance more than, well, just about anything.

Now she is in her early forties, and is vastly obese. Her weight has completely put an end to her dancing as she simply doesn't have the strength or the energy to heave herself around the dance floor.

Not only has she lost the joy and freedom that dancing once brought, but she is now battling a plethora of medical problems, including angina, diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure and sleep apnea.

For a reason that is hard to understand, she is reluctant to tackle her weight problem; in fact she continues to gain weight. That in turn means that unless she makes a stand on this issue, her early demise is a certainty.

Now comes the awkward question: what is your weight stopping YOU from doing? How many things did you used to love to do that you can no longer enjoy?

A weight problem is much more than health problems and loss of freedom to enjoy activity. It can also mean emotional and psychological problems, because you are prevented from living out your dreams and being all you can be in your lifetime.

It stops you being happy and content, and you also realize that you can no longer make a worth while contribution to society in general and your home and family in particular.

Obesity isn't only a condition, it is a disease. Doctors seldom name it as such, most patients are left to figure that out for themselves. It does need to be treated as a disease though.

The curious thing is that this disease, along with all the attendant problems, are fully treatable by the simplest of remedies. When the weight is reduced, almost all the attendant problems disappear on their own with no further treatment.

Just as an alcoholic can not be treated until the person concerned admits there is a problem, so the answer to obesity and over weight is entirely in the hands of the person concerned and no one else. Until you make your own decision on a cure, there is nothing anyone else can do.

But there is good news. Thousands of people have lost enormous amounts of weight and regained their health and their ability to enjoy all those fun activities again. Why not you?

You may agree you want to lose weight, but the magic question is HOW? You ask yourself, where do I start? How do I find something that will work? I have tried in the past and failed every time. What am I to do now?
Well, the answer is actually very easy.

Researches at Harvard University have proved that the main reason people fail at weight loss is because they are on their own.

Even if they have a spouse or partner who agrees to join them, that person may not have the same commitment to succeed and once again this breeds failure. But Harvard says that if you are part of a group, success is almost inevitable.

So see if you can find a suitable group on line that you can join, and you will find the rest is easy.
