3. Place the control panel near an electrical outlet and plug the power cord in. The control panel should also be near a telephone socket if the alarm includes a telephone alert facility. You should see a prompt on the control panel display once you turn the power on. Input the 4-digit code at this time.

4. Program the control panel and input which sirens, passive infrared detectors and window or door contacts to to be used. Push the test button on each device one at a time to carry this out. You should hear a beep from the control panel as a reply and a read out should also be seen on the screen displaying the added device. 8. install the door contact adjacent to the top of your door. Next job is to fit the sensor on the frame in line with the door contact. The space between the two devices shouldn't be larger than 8mm. The ideal height of passive infrared detectors must be above the floor with a range of 1.7 2.3 meters.

9. install the sirens on the external wall and fix it onto the highest part. Arm the alarm by pressing the button with the A label or in some instance, the lock symbol. Input the 4-digit user code that you typed previously to disable the alarm when required.
