How To Improve Your Cricket Batting Method

By:

Participants over complicate things when it comes to batting proficiencies. As a result they tend to focus on the less important elements of batting when in fact they should be focussing on the obvious. It's probably human nature to think the obvious is too simple and will not work, when it is usually the simple things that only really work.

We will review some of the underlying tips when it comes to batting, and getting these simple things right will take your batting to the next level.

Solid Defense

The better cricket players around the world have the power to play top cricket strokes, but they also have a very strong defensive technique. The top players don't always score off every ball. This is because it is not always possible to score off each ball, and so they play the ball on its merits. You always try to score off the bad deliveries if you can, but when you get a good ball, it is a matter of survival with a good defense technique.

Keep Your Eye On the Ball

This sounds straight forward doesn't it, often you'll find that those that do that more consistently will more than likely be playing finer cricket strokes and place the ball more correctly. This means looking at the ball from the moment it leaves the bowlers hand, to where it strikes your cricket bat. Most of the time, players don't look at the ball when it comes close to the bat, and this can lead to incorrect shots.

These are just two easy but very effective batting proficiencies, that when perfected can truly improve your overall batting ability.
