How To Help Your Baby Sleep

According to statistics, a baby sleeps a total of 16 to 22 hours a day -- baby, up to 15 hours, surprised? Certainly, children are usually compared to the image of a baby wrapped in a blanket, falling asleep after each feeding. But in reality, most of the babies do have little obstruction in relation to sleep. In fact, they wake up several times at night, napping during the day, maybe longest duration being 30 minutes or so. And so often the sleep system becomes a real test of strength. Why is this happening? Where are we making a mistake?

Why your child does not want to sleep?

Frequent waking up of the newborn is completely okay and it happens so often. At the same time the deficit of sleep in a parent is so often an integral part of early parenthood. With the growth of your child becoming easier, you will see signs of his/her fatigue and help him/her in managing solid sleep habits and self-calming. Each stage of the development of your baby is associated with both the achievements and difficulties that affect children's sleep. Newborn: The first weeks of neonatal life represent a period in which both the baby and parents adapt to new conditions. Your baby wakes up at different times of day and night. Your baby's sleep usually lasts no longer than 3-4 hours. Wet diaper and hunger are the most common cause of nocturnal wake up and fast response is essential from parents. Baby is not itself able to calm down and in need of tender care of parents.

You can, however, from the first days at home, familiarize them to the rhythm of day and the rituals associated with sleeping. So try to prepare so that the baby has to sleep at similar times each day, this time limits a child experience. Dim the lights and turn off the TV. A good way to calm your child is a gentle massage using oils - but remember that your hands are warm. Daily repetitive activities such as bathing, massage, feeding and singing lullabies will help you prepare the baby to sleep.

Placing your baby to the rhythm of day and night is also the presentation of the child to the differences between the two seasons. So do not light the lamp, when you feed a child in the night, let your voice be silent and calm. Do not play with your child, do not talk to him/her too much during the day, but let your child learn to fall asleep in the daytime conditions, so do not cover the windows and not create an artificial silence in the house.
