Height is possible by allowing it to happen naturally. Advertisers are out there claiming that you can stretch yourself taller by certain exercises. Don't you believe it, we are not built like Gumby and we can't be pulled or stretched to a new height. You can use good nutrition and how you present yourself to not only appear taller, but also promote good bone health. Good bone health will allow you to keep all the height you have and not lose it to shrinking bones as you become older.

What you wear may not sound like a way to appear taller, but it makes all the difference in the world. Say you like to wear tan pants and a navy polo shirt as casual business attire. You may feel you look stylish but the light pants and darker shirt draw attention to your waistline, making you appear shorter. Change the khakis for navy pants with the navy polo and you will immediately look taller by using one color to streamline your look. Of course, vertical stripes will also give you this illusion, as well as stockings.

Footwear is also important when wanting to appear taller. Oddly enough, wearing shoes that make your feet look bigger will make you look taller. So consider boots, clogs, and tennis shoes when dressing. Of course high heels or insoles are always a good standard also. Avoid those cute little strappy sandals though; they will make you look shorter.

As you are growing in your youth good nutrition and posture are important, but even as go past that stage of life these are important. Good posture, which means you are sitting or standing erect with you spine straight, your shoulders are back and your chin is up, will make you seem taller.
The other benefit of good posture is that you will not acquire the problems with your spine that poor posture brings, allowing yourself to miss all those aches and pains.

As you age, good nutrition becomes very important especially for the health of your bones.
To prevent your bones from shrinking, calcium must be a part of your diet. Calcium along with protein, amino acids, and nutritious calories will keep your bones from acquiring any disease that will allow them to deteriorate.

While still in puberty, exercise is important to attain your full height. A good steady exercise routine will keep your bones and muscles healthy. It will also give your body the chance to use its growth spurts to take you to your full potential in height and strength, as quickly as possible.
Also if you are older, keeping fit and muscular will also lend itself to you appearing taller.
