At first it may seem like an infection or earache, but it's actually a very simple problem with a very simple treatment.

Even though it might seem like it's very bad, it's easily remedied. If you're having trouble sleeping on the irritated side, sleep on the other side until it's healed. You should refrain from touching the irritation unless absolutely necessary. In time it will eventually come to a head and break open by itself. When this happens swab Hydrogen Peroxide over the open wound with a cotton tip. If you break it open prematurely, do the same.

It's no big deal to treat this kind of problem. However, if it's persistent and constantly painful, then you should see a doctor and have him treat you.
