How To Get An Eve Online Free Trial

By:

EVE Online is one of the many leading MMORPG games where you have to pay a subscription fee to freely play the game anytime you want within the duration that the subscription covers. Looking at the trailers may not be enough to convince you into getting the game, but fortunately CCP (the people behind the game) decided to make available a 14-day EVE Online free trial. This means that you can test out all the aspects of the game within the 14 days after ordering to determine if the game is worth purchasing. Here are some places where you can signup for the trial.

EVE Online Website

You can access the world's largest game universe at the main EVE site where you should be able to find a small clickable image on the right sidebar where you can take advantage of the free 14-day trial. The EVE website still updates every now and then so their site layout may change in the future. However, the trial should be available somewhere in the site as they've been offering it since it was launched. Once you click the link, all you need to do is fill up a simple form with importance to choosing the country you are currently in so an appropriate server is arranged for you. Then enter a username that is not yet taken and input a password which will be used when logging in the EVE trial and future subscriptions.

Promotions

Last February 2009, there was a special deal for a certain notebook manufacturer that offers 30-day free trials of EVE when purchased. Be on the lookout of these deals by checking out the 'Game News' section in the EVE homepage. You might find some other deals as well by simply searching online or by looking at promotions being run on MMO websites and forums.

To avoid any confusion, the best and easiest way to get an EVE Online free trial is through the main EVE website. You need to make an account anyway so avoid the risk of entering your sensitive data on other websites and stick with CCP's official game website. This also means you'll have instant access to the forums, and the EVE API, so you can start using third party tools like EVEMon to make the most of your trial time. The 14-day trial won't go away and provides an easy pathway to getting your very own character started in the EVE game universe.

Once you have downloaded signed up for the free trial, and downloaded the game client itself, you never have to go through that process again. 14 days will then give you enough time to decide whether or not the complex world of EVE is right for you.
