Feeling like you've got tons to do yet not sure how you can do it all?

I am all for ease. Isn't it great when things seem to flow effortlessly? You feel like you are on a roll and all the things you want to happen magically unfold without blood, sweat and tears?

Check this out:

Research on successful goal achieving reveals that out of 100 people... 67 people out of a 100 say that they do have goals.

Of those 67, approximately 10 make realistic, written plans w/ timelines, strategies & tactics and of those 10, approximately 2-3 people actually achieve their goals.

Yikes!

Rather startling statistics aren't they? The bottom line is that only 2 out of 100 persons get to the 'finish line' and realize their goal.

Are you among the 2%?

Heres is a quick checklist of what you need to know so you can beat the odds, and create more and more of what you want in your business and in your life with ease, grace and flow.

1. Identify Your Goal - Most of us have many brilliant ideas about what we'd like to achieve. The important 1st step is to CLEARLY articulate your goals. Get your ideas out of your head and onto paper. If your goals are fuzzy, your results will be too!

2. Clarity Rules - Why do you want this goal? What will it mean to you? How is it related to your values? If your goal is in alignment with your core values, your chances for success skyrocket!

3. Write It Down - When you write it down, you can make it happen. There is absolute wisdom and truth to writing down your goals on paper. Brain research indicates that our memory recall and ability to focus improves dramatically when we print or type (vs. using cursive writing) our goals.

4. Say It Out Loud - Share your goals with 4 or 5 trusted people in your life. If you talk about what you want, your goals will become even more 'real' and vivid and most importantly doable. Letting others in on your plans helps to hold you accountable too!

5. Get Strategic- Now it is time to get strategic. Brainstorm with yourself and/or create a focus group that will help you create a plan. Create SMART goals: SMART is an acronym for goals that are specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, and timed. David Allen, productivity guru and author of Getting Things Done, agrees, he's a huge advocate of writing things down and thinking and acting from an overall plan with strategies.

6. Resources - What do you need in order to accomplish this goal? Identify and acquire these things now, not later. Who is responsible for what with your new info product? You'll need someone with web expertise who has online shopping cart skills, a graphic designer, your fulfillment center, your printer, etc etc. You get the idea. Map out your project and fill in the corresponding "peeps" on your team.

7. Obstacles - What are the potential obstacles that might get in your way? Anticipating and handling these potential pitfalls ahead of time will save you from a lot of headaches down the road!

8. Single Daily Action - Every day take a step toward accomplishing your goal. Incrementally moving forward will bring you closer to your goals. Do it step by step.

9. Take the Truth Test- Do a weekly review and see how you are coming along with your project. What is going well and what needs adjusting?

10. Celebrate Your Wins- Don't forget to savor your success. Too often we are off to the races with our newer projects, barely acknowledging how much we've accomplished. Pause. Breathe. Enjoy the journey and all of your recent accomplishments!
