How To Find The Least Expensive Life Insurance Plan

By:

To find the least expensive life insurance plan really depends upon a few factors that are rarely covered with online quoting systems or even offline ones. Yet, if all you do is apply for the lowest quote you find, you may not be happy with the end results. Before you apply, consider the following information that the insurance company will most definitely take into account.

First a foremost - Your health

If you are in very good health and we mean very good health and not even have minor medical issues, then you passed the first big hurdle in qualifying for the least expensive life insurance plan. Even if the online quote system does not ask you about health issues (and they really should), if you have any past or present health issues, you will not likely qualify for the best rates. You may be able to qualify for the next least expensive life insurance plan though. If you do not want to apply and then find out what the end result will be, you can always send in a trial application. With this application you should send as much of you medical history and medical records if possible. The underwriter should be able to give you a good idea of what the final rates should be. It is not a guarantee that you get the least expensive rates for your medical history but it will much more accurate than just getting some quotes. You can actually do that with several companies without ever really applying and safely narrow down your options to the least expensive life quotes.

Second - Your Occupation(s)

Believe it or not, the type of work that you do or the pleasure or professional activities you are involved in, can make a big difference in the final rates for your life insurance. We have never seen any online quote system asking you about your work let alone if you fly airplanes for fun. Yet that alone can even lead to much higher rates or even a decline. As with medical issues, it important to select a company that is familiar with your type of case. Just giving the insurance company or your advisor the all the information can greatly save you on premiums and heartache, not to mention help you get the least expensive life insurance plan.

Bottom Line

Whether your case is simple or more complicated, going with the lowest quotes may not be lead to the lowest approval rates. We recommend that you line up at least three good quotes and speak to the insurance company or advisor before applying. If you are 100% certain that you will get approved for the rates quoted and you really do not want to bother with speaking to an agent or underwriter, then by all means, give it a try. Just know that if you end up with a negative mark on your MIB, it will be there for at least seven years and almost impossible to take off before that.

We hope this article will help you make a more informed decision in trying to find the least expensive life insurance plan. As we say in all of our articles ask, ask and ask more questions before and after the policy has been issued. Be well.
