If you put in a Google search for the "Best Superbowl Packages," you will find no less than 790,000 answers. But what does that mean anyway, the best Superbowl package? I mean after-all, we're talking about several things here. We're talking about getting a good deal on the flight, a good deal on the hotel room and of course good seats for the big game.
It's virtually impossible to find the "best Superbowl package" because everyone's needs are different. Some of you will want cheap hotels and flights along with the best seats in the house, others want things the other way around. They want to go to say they went, but they want to enjoy the experience by having a nice hotel room and a chance to tool around the city of Miami for a while. So while you can buy a package, keep the following issues in mind:
Flight. This is probably the simplest thing of all to figure out. You want a direct flight from wherever you're traveling, if at all possible. Fortunately, most major markets do have direct flights to Miami since it's a major tourist attraction.
If you can't get a direct flight, try for the fewest connections possible, but also make sure that you have enough time to make connections. With airports overcrowded all over the country and a creaky flight control system, you need to be prepared for delays.
Hotel. While Miami is a major tourist attraction with thousands of hotel rooms available, there will still be a crush in trying to find a hotel since every single one is likely to be booked for Superbowl weekend. You really want to try to book early, because the best places with the best superbowl packages will likely fill up first.
Rental Car. This is often overlooked, but very important. While there is public transportation in Miami, it is much easier to get around with a car. Like hotels however, the rental cars will be going awfully fast so if you want to get one for the game weekend, make sure to book early.
Seats. This is of course the most important part of the best Superbowl package. You want to get good seats while still not spending a fortune. Unfortunately, football tickets in general tend to be expensive and so for this reason alone, you are likely to do better if you buy a package deal since that should give you the best price on seats over-all.
Make sure to ask your dealer exactly where you seats are located in the stadium and make sure that you physically get the tickets in your hands before you travel. The last thing you want is to fly down to Miami and then find out that your seats were given to someone else or worse never existed to begin with.
