If you want to be successful with online marketing you must find a niche or it is better to say a microniche and you must find the right keywords for it. That is why keyword and niche market analysis is a must, mainly if you want to generate some online income via affiliate marketing. If you choose a niche that is promoted by millions it is nearly impossible to compete with them, or if you find a niche that is not over-promoted, but you use the wrong keywords, you will not make any money with it either. That is usually happen with beginner internet marketers, they choose a wrong niche or they do not use the right keywords (or both) and that means failure.

How To Find Niche that Makes You Money

In my point of view, we should forget those wide and old niches that are used for tens of years such as Mp3, movies etc. Around them millions of websites have been built so you cannot compete with them. You should find a niche that has not so much competition. For example, "download mp3" is too hard, but "download meditation mp3" is a niche that has not been over-used, you have the chance to be successful with it. OK, let's say have found the right niche then you should find the right, related keywords for it. For that you should use a keyword research tool such as Google keyword tool which is free to use. After typing your main keyword it shows related keywords and useful information about them such as the number of monthly searches locally and globally trends etc. Simply you should use those keywords that are mostly relating to your niche and that are searched enough times. Personally, I use 4-5 keywords for a niche, that are searched at least 1000 times per a month.

What Other Factors I Check To Find Niche

When I find the keywords, then I check the competition. I give a search for them in Google and see how many websites come up for those keywords under 100 thousands is OK. Moreover, I check the pagerank of the websites that are resulted. If most of them are over PR 4, I let those keywords. Websites under pagerank 4 are good as by using right SEO techniques, we have the chance to be on the top of the search results.

So these are the factors, I look after when I want to find niche to work with. To sum up, you should find a niche that is not over-promoted and find the keywords that are searched enough times, but not over-used.
