It is only easy to make money if you can actually drive traffic to your site and if the product you are promoting is a very popular one, one that is actually likely to make you money, if that is the case then there is also going to be a lot of competition.

I am sure you have received e-mails from internet marketeers promoting the very sites that you too are trying to make money from.

Who do you think is going to get the most sales you or them?

They have a list, they have money already and can afford to use paid for methods of advertising such as PPC guaranteeing them sales.

They can also afford to pay other people to write articles, blogs etc to promote the site.

So just how do you compete?

The best way to compete is to find a niche that is not so heavily promoted, perhaps even one that doesnt pay quite so much!

Don't worry about that though because if you can dominate that niche and begin to promote all the products available then very soon you will be earning the money you had hoped to.

What is a niche though, for many newbie marketers some these terms are foreign.

Imagine you were to search on google for the term dog, how many result do you think you are going to get? Well a quick look myself has revealed 326,000,000 that is a lot of competition isn't it?

Now change the search term and make it more specific; male chocolate brown labrador - this returns only 48,100 pages, isn't that a difference.

'Male Chocolate Brown Labrador' is a niche term.

Ok, so you now know that you need to find a niche that is under promoted, then go to click bank and search for products that relate to that term or create you own product if you know enough about the subject.

Perhaps you have a product you want to sell but it's already being well promoted, just how do you compete? You find niched search terms that relate to the same product, terms that are not being used by other marketers, terms that will provide you with easy access cheap PPC campaigns should you wish to use that method of marketing.

I've recently discovered a newish product that'll help you do exactly that, now it does cost, not a lot though in comparison with the advantage it'll give you against those other marketeers.
